As we begin 2010, we want to give thanks for the hundreds of volunteers
that have come to Southeast Texas to assist with recovery efforts as a
result of Hurricane Ike. As of December 31, 127 homes have been
completed. We continue to repair damaged homes and we celebrate each
home that can be checked off the list.
We are beginning 2010 with great news. We have volunteer teams
scheduled for every week beginning January 4 through March 31. However,
we still need you! There are still many families who cannot live
in their homes due to the damages sustained by Hurricane Ike.
We ask for your continued prayers for the staff, volunteers and the
families who are waiting to receive assistance. May 2010 be another
year without a hurricane and a year that finds more homeowners back in
their homes.
